Who We Are

Background

Lumartix is the result of the meeting of three people, an industrial, a physicist and an engineer. All three have numerous years of activities in lighting sector. We benefit from the support of several important structures, the Swiss confederation, Solaronix SA and the high school heig-vd.

Team

Laurent Calame, CEO: Engineer and lighting technology specialist. Working on LED and plasma lighting technology since 5 years.

Andreas Meyer, CTO since 1994.

Gilles Courret, CSO : PHD in physics, specialized in lighting. Active in research and development in lighting technologies since 1993.

Location

We are located in Aubonne on the Geneva Lake area in Switzerland.

IP

We have one patent filed in 2006, another is in progress to be filed and several others are in the pipeline.

 

 

History of the Company

The adventure begins with the meeting between Mirko Croci, physicist and Andreas Meyer, industrial. The expectation of Andreas Meyer was to improve the plasma light technology. He uses it in solar testing and production equipment. Five years of research, in the Laboratory of Applied Physics and Emerging Technologies at heig-vd , headed by Prof. Dr. Mirko Croci, took place in collaboration with Solaronix. During these years many innovative solution were fund to increase the reliability of the light source. This technology is very promising because the light engine gives efficiently very high quality light and this without the use of mercury. A long life span and an energy efficiency of A-B render this promising candidate for today illumination needs.
